3 Years

3 years ago today Jedd and I started our forever in the Ogden Temple. Just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my sweetie! You are truly the best thing that has ever happened to me.

My Daily Reason to Smile

Just because we think she is so darn cute...here are a few pictures of our Libs.

(These two pictures I caught just at the right time. Don't know how I got those smiles on camera but I did. She sure melts Jedd's and my hearts.)

(This is her teasing me not wanting to look at the camera. She is too smart for her age sometimes! She giggled right after this and I was laughing so hard I didn't take pictures of it. Darn!)

It's finally GREEN not Brown

...........our yard that is. After a year and a half of living in our home, we finally were able to put everything together and put in a sprinkling system and grass. I love being able to see GREEN and not brown dirt when I look out the window. In fact it still doesn't feel like it is actually our house that has green. It is still a muddy mess everywhere, but I tried to get a few pictures without walking on it.

The front view:

The south side. This side yard is huge and we love that when our kids grow up they'll have a big area to play in.

The north side. We are close to our neighbors but both of our houses have garages right here so we never hear anything. And having this north side be so narrow allows us to have the south side big.

This is the best picture I could get of the backyard. I could only stand on my deck, but you get the idea.

Next year will be the fence. It seems that our budget for the fence went to Jedd's medical bills this year so next year we'll put something up. Luckily both our neighbors decided to do fences this year so all we really need to do is our backyard and finish the sides to our house.

Anyway, we are LOVING our sod...soon to hopefully be grass that is growing like crazy. Once we stop watering like crazy and it stops being a muddy mess out there, Libby and I can go play and be outside. I'm so excited!

Hollywood Connection

For another sister's day we took the older kids to Hollywood Connection. My sisters got free tickets for the kids and so we tagged along. Libby and I didn't do a whole lot except watch, but we sure had fun. Here are just a few pictures of Libs. Isn't she just a cutie?

The Zoo

Summer is finally here and that means weekly "Sisters Day". My sisters, me and my mom all get together one day a week and do fun activities. All the little kiddies love to get together and see each other and play together, but I think all us sisters and mom love to get together just as much! One of our more eventful weeks we went to the zoo. This was Libby's first time there and we had so much fun. The weather cooperated great and it was a beautiful day. Libby was such a great baby....she always is....and loved to be in her stroller and be pushed around. She really didn't even notice the animals but loved seeing everything else that was going on. She was just a happy baby all day! Here are just a few pictures of the day.

At the bird show. Libby really had no idea what was going on and I don't think she even really saw one bird because she didn't know where everyone was looking. She was more entertained by the ooh's and ahh's and clapping of the crowd.

Libby and Ashton at the bird show. Ashton just LOVES holding Libby and pushed her in the stroller probably 90% of the time at the zoo.

Part of our group. Grandpa was even able to come with us! We sure love that he is retired and able to do things with us.

Libby did fall asleep for about 30 minutes. I guess I should be grateful it was that long of a nap!

The train ride. Libby did not find it very amusing. But she had good reason....I accidentally bit her finger when I was talking to Jerilyn in line before we got on; she put her finger in my mouth right as I was saying something and I came down on her tiny finger. But don't worry, no bite marks. I think it just scared her more than anything, but she sure let everyone in line know that she was upset....and it continued through the train ride. She is drama already!

Having Fun

Thank goodness my sister always has her camera with her. I seem to always leave mine home, so I got these pictures from her. Since it's summer and warmer weather, we seem to be doing a few more things outside and meeting with family a little more these days. Libs and I are having so much fun seeing family.

My nephew celebrated his birthday in May so we headed to Boondocks to say hi for a little while. Libby was so good to stay in her stroller for quite a while. Here are just a few pictures of our adventure....

Next thing was my sister's birthday. We decided to all meet in Bountiful and head to El Matador to enjoy lunch....and boy was it delicious. We are so happy that my other sister decided to come up too. I just love getting together with my sisters......they are just so great! And the kids love to see each other. Tate and Libby are just four and a half months apart and they usually just stare at each other, especially if one is crying or doing something noisy. They were sitting at the end of the table together enjoying lunch so we snagged a picture.

I think this picture below is hilarious. They just stared at each other for the longest time. It was so darn cute! Libby's face is priceless. If you can tell, her eyebrows are raised like what is going on! Too funny.

Update on Libby

I apologize for the long break since my last post. I have been dealing with some medical problems and issues with my husband and with the passing of my grandmother, this has been kind of low on my priority list. But with a few things getting back to normal and be being done with school for the summer, (YEAH!) I seemed to find some time to update on our little one. Her 7 months came and gone and now she is about 7 1/2 months old now. She has been quite the little angel to Jedd and I this past little while and has provided some light in dark times to us. Here are just a few things about her at this age: (be prepared, the list is kind of long...I apologize but for journaling purposes, I want to put everything down!)

*Libby babbles like crazy now. She loves to talk and use her voice now more than ever. She loves to sing (which is just saying AHHHH really loud and for a long time...it's what we call her singing!). She has also started to click her tongue and I think it's hilarious. I didn't know babies knew how to do that this young, but she does. She also still sucks on her tongue and bottom lip. In fact a few weeks ago, Libs had sucked on her bottom lip so hard that it turned blue. Freaked me out a little bit, but the next morning it was gone.

*She is sitting all by herself now and l am loving it. She has great balance and it is heaven when she is in the bath tub. She rolls over, but gets pretty mad being on her tummy and so she rarely does it. And me being the first time mom that I am, hates to see her upset so I don't make her do it too often.

*She loves books. In fact, I can sit down with her and read to her for an hour and she stays completely interested. She actually loves to play with her books more than any other of her toys. Exhibit A:

*She loves paper including the mail. Exhibit B: (enough said)

(When I get the Val-Pak in the mail I let her go to town. She goes nuts and stays entertained for ever with these papers. And it provides entertainment for me too.)

*Libby is eating rice cereal, fruits and vegetables. She LOVES her cereal more than anything else. She can only eat any combo of bananas, apples, and pears. Everything else fruit wise makes her throw up. And she hates veggies, but I make her eat them anyway. She tolerates the mixed veggies, carrots and sweet potatoes. Don't get me started on the green veggies...she makes herself gag if they are put on her tongue.

*She knows when I am making a bottle when she sees me shake it, or when I pull out the cereal box to make her some rice cereal. She knows what comes next and so she gets super excited and usually laughs or starts squealing.

*She loves to be home and she almost lets out a sigh of relief when we get her in the house from being gone for a while. She's definitely a home body, just like her mom.

*Libby loves to be carted around with me everywhere I go, even if it into the other room in the house. She hates to be left alone even if it is for 2 seconds while I run real quick and do something. We're learning to deal with the whining if I put her down to do something.

*She loves to go for walks in her stroller. Exhibit C:

*Libby loves to be sung to, and doesn't care that I sound horrible. It keeps her attention pretty well for a few minutes, especially while I am putting on her lotion after her bath.

*Libby's fun personality is starting to really show through. She laughs at everything, and that includes pretty much anything I do to try and make her laugh. She thinks I am hilarious and it's the best feeling in the world. She is one of the happiest babies I know!

*She loves to lift things up over her head, including toys, books, binkies, you name it. We have had quite a few accidents where she has dropped heavy things on her face because she tries to lift them up...including books and remotes. She also loves to pull her blankets over her face.

*Libby sleeps amazing now. She falls asleep during the day great all by herself for naps. And she never cries when she wakes up. Half the time you don't even know she is awake because she's in there quiet as a mouse. If she does make noise she'll talk to herself until we go and get her. She also sleeps about 12 hours a night 7:30 pm-7:30 am and only wants a quick bottle at 6:30 am so she can go back to sleep for another hour.

*The only bad habit out little one is forming: she throws fits if we take something away from her that she still wants to play with. She'll throw her body back and arch it, and she also holds her breath until her face turns bright red. It's quite funny at the moment but I can see it getting pretty old pretty quick. As much as she is a total angel, she can be a stinker some times. And we love her for it!
