I Heart Blogs!

My sister nominated my blog as one of her favorites. I know that I don't update my blog as often as I should, but I do the best I can. You have to go and check out her blog at http://jhawksfam.blogspot.com/. She always has the funniest stories and pictures that make me laugh.

1. Aimee Cherry (my sister-in-law). http://tazandaimee.blogspot.com/ I have married into an AWESOME family, and you just have to get on here and see her background. It is perfect! Their 2 girls are absolutley adorable, they literally have Jedd and I wrapped around thier fingers. Just look at them! :)

2. Karen Osborne (my close friend) http://theosborneshow.blogspot.com/ Karen just started up her blog, with a little pushing from me, and I absolutley love that it is up and running! I helped her just a little bit, but look at how awesome she did with everything! I think it is adorable and she did such a good job!

3. Jenny Spendlove (my cousin-in-law) http://spendloveandco.blogspot.com/ Jenny has the cutest little boy and I love that she posts so many things about him. Joey and Jenny were one of the very FIRST people I met when I first started dating Jedd!

4. Amy Johnson (my cousin) http://cajohnson.blogspot.com/ With everything going on in our busy days, it is hard to keep up with family. Amy is my cousin on my dad's side and so I LOVE getting on her blog to see what her little family is up too.

5. Holly Carbajal (my friend) http://carbajal9.blogspot.com/ Holly is a good friend from clear back in Elementary school and we lost touch about high school time. Only recently, Holly found my blog off someone else's and we have been keeping in touch. It literally shows why I love blogs so much! I had no idea what was going on in her life and so it is fun to see her adorable little girl and to catch up on old times!

6. Cami Carter (my friend) http://camiandadam.blogspot.com/ I have known Cami for a couple years now and it is so fun that she FINALLY has got a blog that works! I love getting on and just seeing how her little boy is growing!

7. Iva Smith (my friend) http://kurtisandiva.blogspot.com/ I met Iva up at Weber State in the education program forever ago (ok not really) and I have been able to keep up on how her family is doing. Iva just found out she is having twin girls, and I absolutley LOVE getting on there and reading her posts about cool things she finds, or picture updates! She is absolutely so adorable, and I can't wait to see the twins when they get here!

Blogging is great, and I love looking at all the fun pictures, and read all the fun things people have to say. So many people apologize about writing a lot or uploading a ton of pictures on their blogs, but really, I love reading and looking at every single thing on everyone's blogs. Never stop!

We have an announcement.....

So may of you might be wondering what our announcement is...and so I don't keep you in suspense any longer, the awesome CHICAGO CUBS won the National League Central Division Title yesterday. They clinched a spot in the playoffs, and it was quite the celebration at our house. They won the Cardinals 5-4 to win their spot. Now, the Milwaukee Brewers were the closest team to the Cubs to take the spot; however, the Brewers were so many games back that they had no chance to catch the amazing Cubs! I thought I would mention just a few favorite things of mine about the Cubs. Ted Lilly (the picture on the left) has become my most favorite pitcher on the Cubs team. And yes, in case you were wondering, he did pitch yesterday for the winning game! There are may great players on the Cubs team, and Jedd wonders how ANYONE in their right mind can pick just one favorite player, but I had no problem.....Reed Johnson (picture on the right). Reed has not had a lot of playing time lately, and even though Lou (team manager) let's him play sometimes and Reed usually pulls out AWESOME, he will almost always sit out the next game. Could it be that he wears the bottom of his pants pulled up to his knees like an old fashioned player that makes him my favorite?? MAYBE, but that is the just the beginning. He plays center field, when he gets the chance to be in, and makes amazing plays. Dive catches, catces fly balls, and not only that, he has a pretty good batting average. It is quite funny how much more interested I am to watch the Cubs game when either Lilly is pitching or Johnson is in. However, some think that Jimmy Edmunds plays a better center fielder, I would have to totally DISAGREE. Johnson has won his spot on my number one list of favorite players in the MLB. The Cubs only have a few games left before they start the playoffs and so here at our house, it is all Cubs, all the time. Jedd only hopes that the games are played more on the common channels like ESPN or channel 13 rather than WGN, which is where most the games are shown on TV. So here at the Cherry house, this is our slogan....... "Go...Cubs Go"!!

So I FINALLY did it!

Ok so a lot of people have been bugging me about hanging my pictures up on my walls. Yes, I totally agree that it is quite ridiculous that I haven't hung stuff up since I have lived here for 2 months almost. Well on Tuesday my sweet sister came and helped me hang some things up. It is so nice to have another girl's opinion. Jedd is actually really good to help, but usually says "whatever you think looks good". Well that doesn't help a whole lot so Michelle and I put things up while Jedd went and played softball. The next couple pictures are of our living room and kitchen. It feels more "home-y" with things on the walls don't you think?

This sign I got from Jedd's mom as a wedding shower gift. I absolutely loved it and was so excited to hang it up. It sits right above our sliding glass door and it is perfect! These next pictures are of our bedroom. I absolutely love my bedroom and now with my black frames (that I have had for 2 years) and also my red frame hanging up on the walls, it looks great! Now all I need is to get my wedding pictures to put in the empty frames! I'm excited to see how things look with pictures.
These next pictures are of Jedd's cubs office. We have quite a few pictures we got during our engagements that were at the baseball field in Idaho. They fit so perfect in his room.

Yes, this is a "W" flag, the official flag the cubs put up when they win at Wrigley Field so everyone knows they won. Jedd wanted to hang it up in our bedroom, but I luckily talked him out of that and recommend we put it up in his Cubs office instead. Whew! I think it looks better in there anyway......
So yes, I finally hung things up on my walls and Jedd and I LOVE IT! It makes our apartment feel like "ours" and not so much a hospital with white walls.

Happy Birthday Jedd!!

Today, September 13th was Jedd's birthday. Last night we went down to my mom's for a barbecue and we were surprised with a mini birthday party for Jedd. We walked in and this was the sign to greet us. My nephew Ashton colored it for Jedd, with a lot of black because as he remembers, Jedd told me his favorite color was black. Ashton had to make my mom find a black crayon just so he could color it. It was so cute. Of course Jedd is tough guying it! It makes me laugh how funny he is!

After dinner, my mom had made cakes for Jedd and all the grand kids to blow out the candles. Of course Jedd had a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and he let the little ones help him blow the candles out. Look how cute they all are! The kids all LOVE any one's birthday because they all get to blow out candles like it is their own birthday. My mom even made 2 small cakes for the kids to eat.The cake was "de-licious" as the boys would say. They had fun eating it and were more than willing to pose for a picture for Aunt Awa.Ashton and Branson made birthday cards for Jedd all by themselves. Ashton's is a picture of Jedd and I. If you can't read what it says it is "Kylie throwing a ball to Jedd, Jedd getting ready to hit the ball." The best part about it was that he was so adimate about putting a "C" on Jedd's shirt for the Cubs because in Ashton's mind, Jedd is always wearing a "C" on his hat.Last but NOT least, these are pictures of our apartment that I decorated for Jedd on Saturday morning. I went shopping during my prep period on Friday to go get a few things and had to keep it all a secret. Well, Jedd is really good at figuring things out and he reads me like a book so I can barely keep ANYTHING from him. Well this morning I thought I would be sneaky and wake up at 4 AM, yes, 4 in the morning and decorate our apartment. It literally took me an hour because at 4 in the morning, I am still asleep. I thought I was so good thinking I pulled one on him and when we woke up this morning, he said he knew I was up to something. But it still was fun to surprise him. (OF COURSE the house was decorated with the famous Cubs colors! Would you have guessed anything else??)

For the rest of the day, I took Jedd to Maddox for lunch, we then went to a real putting golf course so he could try out his new putter I bought him for his birthday. It was so much fun. Of course Jedd won me 58 to 64 but for my first time, it wasn't bad. I had a BLAST with him. And we finished out the day going to Neilsen's for an awesome concrete where Jedd of course got cookie dough ice cream. It was such a fun day! Happy birthday Sweetie! I LOVE YOU!!
